VIBRO FLEX VSEJ

VIBRO FLEX Stainless Steel Expansion Joints primarily absorb dimensional changes in pipelines caused by thermal movement. The bellows are formed from thin-walled stainless-steel tubing, making them more efficient than other pipe movement solutions like pipe loops or slip-type joints. Pipe loops occupy excessive space, while slip joints demand frequent maintenance. Additionally, both can only accommodate axial movement. VIBRO FLEX bellows expansion joints, in contrast, are compact, maintenance-free, and capable of absorbing multiple types of movement.

VIBRO FLEX bellows expansion joints are available with flanged, welded, grooved, or threaded ends. Internal liners protect the bellows' inner surface from erosion and reduce vibrations caused by fluid flow. Additional options include tie rods for movement control and shrouds that shield the bellows in buried installations. For proper anchoring and guiding of pipelines with expansion joints, and to avoid extension or buckling due to pressure thrusts, consult Akinco for expert guidance.

VIBRO ISOLATOR VRSIF

These high-deflection, free-standing spring isolators feature large-diameter, laterally stable steel coils that are unhoused and engineered for optimal performance. Each spring assembly is integrated into a robust upper load plate with a precision leveling mechanism to ensure consistent load distribution and ease of installation.
  • Light-Duty Configuration: For lower load capacities, the isolators are equipped with molded neoprene bottom load plates, offering effective vibration damping and acoustic isolation.
  • Heavy-Duty Configuration: For higher load applications, the steel springs are securely welded to a heavy-gauge steel bottom load plate. A neoprene isolation pad is bonded to this plate to enhance vibration attenuation and reduce structure-borne noise.
Technical Features and Performance Criteria:
    • Spring Geometry: The ratio of spring diameter to compressed height under rated load is maintained at a minimum of 0.8, ensuring lateral stability and consistent performance.
    • Corrosion Protection: Springs are finished with an epoxy powder coating, tested to withstand up to 1000 hours of salt spray exposure for enhanced durability in harsh environments.
    • Acoustic Isolation: A neoprene friction pad is incorporated to act as a sound break, effectively minimizing the transmission of high-frequency vibrations.
    • Vibration Isolation Efficiency: The system achieves a vibration isolation efficiency exceeding 95%, making it suitable for sensitive equipment and noise-critical installations.
    • Structural Integration: Bottom plates are pre-engineered with bolt provisions to facilitate secure anchoring to the supporting structure.
    • Stability Assurance: Lateral stiffness of the spring assembly is designed to exceed 1.0 times the rated vertical stiffness, ensuring reliable performance under dynamic loads.
    • Overload Capacity: Each spring unit is rated to accommodate a minimum of 50% overload beyond its nominal load capacity. Springs are structurally safe even at solid height compression.

VIBRO MOUNT NEOPRENE ISOLATORS VRMT

Vibro Mount Model VRMT neoprene isolators are precision‑moulded, one‑piece vibration control mounts incorporating encapsulated steel inserts for enhanced durability. Each unit is colour‑coded for quick identification of load capacity and features non‑slip ribbing on the underside to ensure secure placement on supporting surfaces. The isolators are engineered with:
  • Twin bolt‑down holes on the base plate for secure anchorage.
  • Tapped steel top plate for direct attachment to supported equipment.
Manufactured from oil‑resistant neoprene compounds, the mounts are designed to operate within defined strain limits, delivering optimum vibration isolation and extended service life. Model VRMT provide static deflections of 10–13 mm, available in four sizes and eleven load ratings ranging from 25 kg to 500 kg.

VIBRO MOUNT VMF

Floor isolation systems are incorporated into building design to minimize floor impact noise and airborne sound transmissions. Additional designed floor slab is supported by resilient mounts installed on the structural main slab. The design of an effective isolation system is dependent on several factors including: • Required Noise criteria to achieve. • Mass & Stiffness of the structural slab. • Isolation Mounts natural frequency and damping characteristics. • Space or Air gap to be created. • Design of the floated slab. • Control of Sound flanking paths. Creating air gap between the main and floated floors while decoupling the two floors with the appropriate resilient mount effectively reduce noise transmission. Airborne and impact noise transmissions are greatly reduced between the room incorporating the floating floor system and other floors of the building. VIBRO MOUNT floating floor systems offers the largest variety of isolation mounts with natural frequency as less than 10 Hz to fit specific applications.

VIBRO PADS VRCP

VRCP Pads are engineered vibration control elements composed of elastomeric layers bonded with cork inserts, forming a multi-layered structure that delivers reliable performance in light-to-medium duty applications. The ribbed surface geometry enhances frictional stability, making these pads suitable for installations requiring non-bolted support. Constructed using high-grade elastomer and natural cork, the VRCP series is available in single or composite-layer formats. The cork interlayer acts as a natural damping medium, improving load distribution and vibration attenuation. With hardness options ranging from 40 to 80 Shore A, these pads are designed to accommodate varying load intensities while preserving material resilience. The elastomer is formulated to resist degradation from oils and moisture, ensuring the pad remains within its elastic operating range throughout its service life. Deflection capabilities span from 2 mm to 5 mm, supporting effective isolation across a range of equipment types. VRCP Pads are supplied in modular dimensions of 2″, 3″, 4″, 6″, and 9″, along with full-format 18″ (457 mm) square sheets that can be tailored on-site to meet specific installation needs.
