Description
VIBRO isolation clips are engineered with a natural neoprene grommet pad integrated with a threaded shaft, which connects to a central electroplated zinc mild steel bushing. The center bushing measures approximately 20 mm in length, featuring a 10 mm shaft section and a 21.5 mm end clip. The neoprene isolator itself has dimensions of 1 ½″ x ½″, providing durability and resilience for effective vibration control.
Designed for versatility, VIBRO CLIPs can be used in wood, steel, CMU (concrete masonry unit), or concrete wall and ceiling systems. Their primary function is to decouple gypsum board from the structural framing, thereby significantly improving acoustic isolation.
Each VIBRO CLIP has an acoustical design load capacity of 36 lbs per isolator, allowing it to support up to two layers of ⅝″ gypsum board when installed at maximum spacing of 24″ x 48″ on center. By fastening directly to the structure or framing, VIBRO CLIP minimize the transfer of sound and vibration into adjoining spaces, resulting in higher STC (Sound Transmission Class) and IIC (Impact Insulation Class) ratings for the overall assembly.
diesel engines.
- VIBRO CLIP prevent buckling or overturning of tall or long walls.
- Our general recommendation is spacing on four – foot centers both horizontally and vertically.
- The maximum axial restraint rating is approximately 33% of the maximum assigned wall weight and extremely conservative.
- Vertical resistance information is provided for checking embedment requirements in walls and shear or pullout forces on both ends of the VIBRO CLIP
The combination isolation wall clip assembly (VIBRO CLIP) Tolerances in dimensions are as per international standards.
- Rubber Isolator:
- Natural organic rubber compounds.
- Moulded to isolate ferrule from clip.
- Minimum of 12 micro-vibration controlling pedestals at point of contact with framing member.
- Manufactured to ASTM D 2000, M2 AA 510 A13, which includes:
- Clip: Galvanized or aluminium-zinc coated steel, 18 gauge.
- Intended use: For use with wall and ceiling construction assemblies to prevent sound and vibration transmission to improve STC and IIC ratings
- Ferrule: Zinc-electroplated steel.
- Projection: 1-5/8” from supporting structure, when 7/8” drywall furring channels are used.
- Substitutions: Not permitted.
