Description
There are many interconnected internal and external pores in the open cell polyurethane foam. When sound waves are incident on them, they can cause air vibrations in the pores. Due to the viscous resistance of air and the friction between air and the pore wall, a large part of the sound energy is converted into heat energy and consumed. In addition, the concave convex wave shape of the sponge gradually reduces the remaining sound waves through repeated refraction. In addition, when air is adiabatically compressed, heat exchange continuously occurs between the air and the pore wall. Due to the directing effect, a portion of the sound energy is converted into heat energy, thereby achieving the effect of sound absorption.
